Audree was the only child of Spencer Samuel Jenkins and Gladys Bessie Stalker Jenkins. She attended schools in Soda Springs, Idaho, and Logan, Utah, graduating from Logan High School in 1947.
She attended Utah State University, and later met and married Charles Jacob (Bus) O'Connell. They lived in Logan for 14 years, where they had four children and made many lifelong friends. She loved decorating, art, sewing, shopping, quilting, knitting, cooking, gardening, her cats, reading and studying, movies, driving fast cars, and genealogy.
