Audree Lucille Fisher, 82, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 13, 2016, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
Audree was born July 20, 1933, in Los Angeles, California, to Lionel Earl Fisher and Audrey Claire Armstrong Fisher.
She was an avid animal lover being especially fond of horses and dogs of which she owned several throughout her lifetime. Audree was a fan of British movie dramas such as Howard's End .
Prior to settling down in Idaho Falls, Audree traveled the Pacific Northwest with her little dog and all-time favorite pet named Tanya. During her road travels, she settled and worked temporary jobs at various towns and cities in Northern California, Oregon, and Alaska. During one chapter of her life, she purchased a Boston Whaler sailboat in need of repairs and fixed it up all by herself. She then lived on it at the San Francisco Marina with the Golden Gate Bridge in view.
She had a colorful and varied work life. She was the head waitress at a popular Italian Restaurant in Southern California and also worked for a catering company in San Francisco. She traveled the world working as a steward on a cargo container ship for American President Lines (APL). She expressed that living and working on the cargo ship was the most content and peaceful time of her life; she loved being out on the open sea and stopping at various ports where she could walk about, explore, and shop for unique items. Prior to moving to Idaho, she lived and worked on a ranch in Wyoming.
After settling down in Idaho Falls, Audree decided to open her own dog grooming business, so she traveled to Las Vegas to attend a professional dog grooming school. She operated her own business in Idaho Falls for several years known as Audree's Dog Grooming .
She had three daughters. Her first born was Cecelia Claire Sheppard, who passed away in 2011. Her two surviving daughters, C. Ann Goodwin and Barbara Lynn Smith whom both reside in the San Francisco bay area. She also has a sister, Martha Mastel of Santa Rosa, CA; three grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.
