We are sorry to hear of Audie's death -- she was a good friend and always had such a positive outlook. She was a joy. Because of a family illness, we unfortunately can't be with the Kite family at this time, but we will always remember both Audie and Milt with much love.

Dean and other family members, I was saddened to learn about your mother. Your dad, Milt, was my 1st cousin. Uncle Ed (your grandpa) and my mother Anne (Kite) Maxfield were brother and sister. We did lots of things as a big family when you and Eddy and all of us were small. We will be leaving town this weekend, and won't be back until next Thursday, but I wanted to express my sympathy and love to you and the other family members. We loved your folks a lot. May you feel a calm comfort and a peace at this tender time, and know that your mom is with your dad and with "little Eddy" and parents and grandparents. She is happy now and free of pain. Remember: memories are the legacy of love.

Dean,
I was sorry to hear of your mothers passing. My mom 'Bettie' also lives at Life Care Center. If I'd known your mom had been living there I would have stopped to visit her . . .
My prayers are with you & your family.
God Bless,

Hello Dean, it has been too many years and I am sorry to have to find you in this way. I am so sorry to hear about your mom. I wish I would have known that your mom was at Life Care, my mother is also there. Sad how these old neighbors ended up in the same rest home and were not able to visit each other. I always thought a lot of your mom. When I watch Leave it to Beaver, it always reminds me of your family. You were always good friends & I have missed that friendship. May God be with you now and always.
Sincerely, Judy

I will miss Audra, she was a very smart lady. And was my late night and early morning Lady. I worked with Audra from when she came to Life Care till the night before. I now she is in no pain and with her dear husband she always talked about.
Audra is one Lady I became close with and will miss her a lot, my night will not be the same for a long time. God bless her family at this time and know she was loved by many! My condolences.

Audie was a wonderful, sweet, caring, and devoted person. I so enjoyed working with her on our Soup Kitchen Team- she would always work so hard and cared so much. She always talked about her children and her pets which she loved so very much. Her smile will be missed along with her caring hands that buttered many a slice of bread and served many a meal. She so enjoyed helping at Christmas with the gifts. But I know she is smiling down on us all with her beautiful smile.
Sincerely, Kim Mathews (alis Jill)

I miss Audie and send my sympthany to the entire family. When I last saw her at Life Care she talked about Milt and her loved ones that where no longer with us. It is reassuring to know that she is not suffering and is now with her loved ones. May God watch over you all and help you with the grieving process. Know that i truely loved Miss Audie and all the hours we talked through the years as I did her hair.

I haven't seen Mrs. Kite since I was about 17, when my dad worked for your dad. I remember her as a wonderfully understanding woman and the advice she gave me then has helped me for 40 years. I am sorry for your loss.

Hi: My mother Bettie Clevenger called me on the 15th of May to see if I had a different number for Audie. I gave her the only one I had. Mom was trying to call to tell her Happy Birthday. I decided to do some investigating and found out what happened. I am so sorry. I saw Audie in October 2007 when we stopped by while on vacation. We had a nice visit and it was great to see her again. I smiled when I saw her holding her little black dog. (My mom is doing the same thing.) Mom always considered your parents her oldest friends as did my Dad (Floyd). They had a lot of good times together. I will always think of Audie as a very classy lady. Our prayers are with you. Marsha

I remember Audie and Eddie visiting my parents, Floyd and Bettie Clevenger when I was a child. Audie would always make time to visit with my sisters and I, laughing with us and smelling of White Shoulders perfume. I still use White Shoulders, and, in doing so, remember Audie very fondly.
