Ashley Kate Reinwand

Ashley Kate (Burgie) Reinwand, 41, of Menan, passed away March 4, 2023, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls, Idaho. She was under the care of Dr. Bryan Hammar in Rigby, Idaho.

Ashley was born April 24, 1981, at Madison Memorial Hospital in Rexburg, Idaho, to Ernest Jeffery Burgie and Dona Jeanne (Berry) Burgie of Menan, Idaho. She grew up in Menan and attended Midway Elementary, Midway Middle School, and graduated from Madison High School in 1999.

Ashley worked as a Life Skills Aid for Upper Valley Industries as well as Journeys, as a Development Paraprofessional. She reveled in her work and in teaching those who were similar in mentality to hers. She taught them to live on their own, cook, clean, to count money, grocery shop, and countless other life skills.

She married her sweetheart, Noah Reinwand, the love of her life, in late 2005. They were blessed with a son whom they adopted in December of 2009, Tyberious John Reinwand. Ashley was so happy and proud to finally be a mother. She loved her son with every bit of her being. Her dream had finally come true; she had a beautiful family and was a mother. Ashley spent her adult life as a loving, doting mother and a homemaker.

She loved to spend time with her family, her cats, camping, asparagus, and huckleberry picking, sleepovers and games with family, cooking, learning new recipes on the Food Network, playing card games, and was an amazing gardener. She researched and learned how to grow orchids. Orchids, one of the most difficult flowers to grow, she mastered.

Ashley loved everyone. She was the first person to extend a compliment, the first person who reached out to someone in need, and the first one to offer a hug. Ashley loved. To know Ashley is to love Ashley. Her family is heartbroken and will miss her heart and hugs forever.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Ashley is survived by her loving husband, Noah Reinwand of Menan, ID; son, Tyberious; mother, Dona Jeanne Burgie; father-in-law, Jack (Linda) Reinwand; brothers, Ernest Sethe (Melanie) Burgie, Sonny (Stacy) Burgie, Jonah (Kasha) Burgie; sister, Rebecca Burgie Clark; as well as nieces, nephews, and their families.

She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Jeffery Burgie, and grandparents.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 10, 2023, at the Menan LDS Church, 3547 East Menan Lorenzo Hwy with Bishop Greg Nelson and Bishop Cameron Campbell officiating.
