ASHLEY JEPHSON
REXBURG, ID -- Ashley Camie Hansen Jephson, 21, of Rexburg,
died August 15, 2004, of complications shortly after giving birth at Madison
Memorial Hospital.
She was born May 10, 1983, at Prosser, Washington, to
Charles Glenn Hansen and Valene Renee Wagstaff Hansen. When she was six,
the family moved to Nyssa, Oregon, where she attended schools and graduated
from Adrian High School. She served as Student Body President and was
Valedictorian of her class. She was also active in FFA and played softball,
volleyball, and basketball.
She received her beautician’s license from Rexburg
Career Beauty College in 2002. She attended Brigham Young University-Idaho,
where she received her Associates Degree, graduating in the top 5% of
her class in 2004.
On August 22, 2003, she married the love of her life,
Roger Allen Jephson, in the Boise, Idaho, Temple. In one short year, she
completed her lifetime goals of marrying her best friend in the temple
and giving birth to her beautiful baby boy, Ashton Allen Jephson. She
was the best homemaker and was currently managing BYU-Idaho approved Young
Men’s Housing at the time of her death.
She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ
of Latter-day Saints and served as a Primary Teacher, Visiting Teaching
Coordinator, and served on the Activities Committee in her current ward.
She loved crafts, needlework, reading, and learning. She especially loved
spending time with her dear beloved ones, and always had homemade goodies
for them to enjoy.

Grandmother: Helen Jephson, Idaho Falls, ID
and many beloved aunts, uncles, and cousins who were like brothers and
sisters to her.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dean and Ruth Hansen; an
aunt, Ellen Bake; her mother-in-law, Donna Jephson; a sister-in-law, Donna
Lynn Jephson; and her grandfather, Leslie A. Jephson.
Funeral Services will be at 12 Noon Thursday, August
19, 2004, at the Rexburg LDS Stake Center, 1545 West 100 South, (west
of the Rexburg Middle School) with Bishop Garth Hall of the BYU-Idaho
51st Ward, officiating.
The family will meet with friends Wednesday from 7 to
8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) in Idaho Falls, and for
one hour prior to the services at the church in Rexburg. Burial will be
in the Grant-Central Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday,
August 21, 2004, at the Owyhee LDS Ward Building in Nyssa, Oregon. The
family will meet with friends one hour prior to the services at the church.
