Ashlee Ann Empey Stoddard, age 21, of Idaho Falls, Idaho, passed away peacefully on March 6, 2026, surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer.
Ashlee was born on July 12, 2004, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Amy Hincks Empey and Danny Empey. From a young age, Ashlee was full of life, kindness, and determination. She grew up loving softball and spent many years playing on both school and travel teams, creating lasting friendships and memories along the way.
Ashlee graduated from Thunder Ridge High School and went on to earn her Medical Assistant certificate from the College of Eastern Idaho (CEI). She worked as a medical assistant at Family First Medical Center, where her compassion and caring nature made a lasting impression on both patients and coworkers. Ashlee had a deep love for learning and was actively pursuing her RN license, hoping to continue serving and helping others through her work in the medical field.
On March 21, 2025, Ashlee married the love of her life, Caleb Stoddard, in the Idaho Falls Temple. Their marriage was built on love, faith, and devotion, and Caleb remained by her side through every step of her journey.
Ashlee had a deep love for animals, especially her puppy Maggie, who brought her great comfort and joy during her time of illness. She was someone who was quick to forgive and easy to love, and her gentle spirit touched the lives of everyone who knew her.
Above all, Ashlee had a strong and unwavering relationship with Jesus Christ. She loved attending the temple and living her faith. Throughout the immense trial she faced in her life, she became an example to thousands of what true faith looks like. Even during her illness, Ashlee was never fearful and never complained. Her courage, peace, and trust in the Savior inspired countless people who followed her journey.
Ashlee is survived by her husband, Caleb Stoddard; her parents, Amy Hincks Empey and Danny Empey; her sister, Chelsey Nef; her grandparents, Dusty and Joyce Hincks; her grandmother, Sue Gray; and her in-laws, Bart and Michelle Stoddard; along with many extended family members and friends who loved her dearly.
