Asher Strubel

Asher James Strubel, 15, of Iona, Idaho, passed away May 22, 2017, in Idaho Falls from injuries received in an automobile accident. He was wearing a seatbelt.

Asher was born January 4, 2002, in Englewood, Colorado, to James Carl Strubel and Lesli June Thompson Strubel. He grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and was a freshman at Skyline High School at the time of his death.

Asher loved baseball; he loved his teammates and coaches from Blaze, Bombers, 51s, and Skyline. Asher loved being with his friends, his sisters, his grandparents, and his mom and dad. Asher was everyone's best friend.

Asher is survived by his parents, James and Lesli Strubel of Iona, ID, sister Gracie June Strubel of Denver, CO, sister Katie Kay Strubel of Iona, ID, grandparents, Ron & Janet Thompson of Idaho Falls, ID, grandparents, Larry and Kay Strubel of Chambers, NE, and pugs, Napoleon and Gus.

A memorial service open to the public will be held at Melaleuca Field on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at 7:00pm.
