ARTIE B. OLSEN IDAHO FALLS, ID - Artie Blackham Olsen, 85, of Idaho Falls, died July 9, 2004, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. She was born November 8, 1918, in Moroni, Utah, to Lewis and Minnie Blackham. She grew up and attended schools in Moroni, Utah. She married Newell Peter Olsen on August 2, 1937, in Nephi, Utah. Artie worked as a hostess and cahsier at the Rogers Hotel and the Westbank in Idaho Falls for many years, sewed draperies professionally and enjoyed doing volunteer work in the community. Survivors include one daughter and two sons, seven grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great, great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers and one sister. The family will visit with friends and family from 7-8:30 p.m. on Monday, July 12, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. Due to burial in Utah, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations be made to The Domestic Violence Crisis Center, 1050 Memorial Drive, Idaho Falls, 83402. Burial will be in the Moroni Cemetery in Moroni, Utah. Local arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
