Arthur LaRoy "Roy" Ricks

Arthur LaRoy “Roy” Ricks, 80, of Idaho Falls, passed away September 2, 2026, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.

Roy was born November 11, 1945, in Rexburg, Idaho, to Bud Ricks and Margie Christensen Ricks.

He married Lisa Lee Pierce in Salt Lake City, Utah. Roy and Lisa made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Roy worked as a long-haul truck driver.

He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Roy enjoyed driving truck, working on cars, and playing music.

Roy is survived by his wife, Lisa Ricks of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Sara Wilhelm of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Nickie Wiersma of Blackfoot, ID; daughter, Alya Nichols of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, Rena O’Niel of Page, AZ; daughter, Jodie Calkins of CA; son, William David Ricks of WY; sister, Cathy Martson of NV; 15 grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Susan Ricks; brothers, Dennis Ricks, David Ricks, and Stan Christensen; and a sister, Susan Keller.

Private family services will be held at a later date.
