Armond " Hobie" Robison, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away on February 5, 2013, at his home. He was born November 11, 1933, at Roberts, Idaho to Charles Earl Robison and Hilda Eugina Anderson Robison. He grew up and attended schools in the area, graduating from Shelley High School. He served in the U.S. Army in Alaska during the Korean Conflict. He continued his education by attending Idaho State University and the FBI Academy. On November 8, 1956, he married Pat Janeen Dearden in Idaho Falls. He was an Idaho Falls Police Officer from 1957 until he retired in 1994 as Police Captain. He was a member of the Idaho Police Officer Association. Armond “Hobie” was an avid bowler and also enjoyed camping, motorcycling, putting together models, and candy making. Survivors are: Wife: Pat Robison, Idaho Falls, ID Son: Scott (Meri) Bybee, Idaho Falls, ID Daughter: Tami (Brian) Newcomb, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Robert (Ruth) Robison, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Dianna Robison, Idaho Falls, ID 3 Grandchildren: Clint (Kristi) Bybee, Russell (Lena) Bybee, and Brandi (Rob) Humphries and 9 Great Grandchildren He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Harold Robison; and 3 sisters, Margret Thompson, Dorothy Stears, and Rozella Hansen. Memorial services will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday, February 9, 2013, at Wood Funeral Home East Side (963 S. Ammon Rd.). The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
