ARLO SUMMERS Click here to view Arlo's Video Tribute IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Arlo Dwayne Summers, 63, of Idaho Falls, passed away, August 22, 2009, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. He was born July 5, 1946, in Rigby, Idaho, to Dwayne Earl Summers and Nola Madsen Summers. He attended schools in the Ririe area and furthered his education at Idaho State University and the University of Idaho. He married Lorene Jensen on August 8, 1968, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They moved to Idaho Falls in 1975. He worked as a certified health physicist, nuclear engineer and was a licensed professional engineer. He worked for various INL contractors for 37 years. They raised their family in the Idaho Falls area. Arlo was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed reading, learning and traveling. He especially enjoyed being with his 12 grandchildren, Jarid, Makayla, Malana, Casey, Mason, Kelly, Jaremy, Shelby, Rosemary, Hayden, Molly and Desmond. He is survived by: His wife, Lorene Summers of Idaho Falls; Son, David (Terilyn) Summers of Moscow; Son, Michael (Karen) of Ammon; Son Alan (Melissa) of Idaho Falls; Daughter, Lisa (Brandon) Hall of Pocatello; Son, Brian Summers of Idaho Falls; Brother, Burl Summers of Idaho Falls; Brother Shayne Summers of Idaho Falls; Sister, Delaine (Rick) Jones of Idaho Falls; He was preceded in death by his parents Dwayne and Nola Summers. The family wishes to thank the staff at Snake River Oncology for caring for their husband and father. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, August 26, at the Idaho Falls LDS East Stake, 1860 Kearney, with Bishop Lamar John officiating. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road, and Wednesday from 10 to 10:45 a.m. at the church.
