Arlene (Rutt) Murdock

Arlene Rutt Murdock, 79, of Rigby, passed away January 6, 2024, at Teton Healthcare of Cascadia.

Arlene was born June 12, 1944, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Clarence Harold Rutt and Ila Harding Rutt. She grew up and attended schools in New Sweden and graduated from Idaho Falls High School.

On May 2, 1966, she married Richard William Murdock in Tom Green County, Texas. They were later sealed in the Idaho Falls Temple on December 12, 1969. Arlene and Richard made their home in Blackfoot, Idaho, where Arlene worked as a Nurses Assistant.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed camping, crocheting, quilting, painting, crossword puzzles, coloring, shopping, spending time with family, and seeing grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Arlene is survived by her son, David Richard Murdock of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Kevin William Murdock of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter, April Arlene Maus of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Gary Joshua (Julie) Murdock of Rigby, ID; daughter, Karen Lee (Troy) Scott of Rigby, ID; brother, Larry (Marilyn) Rutt of Idaho Falls, ID; sister, Diann (Keith) Wilcox of Spring City, UT; 15 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard William Murdock; parents, Clarence and Ila Rutt; and brother, Kenneth H. Rutt.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Fielding Memorial Park Cemetery.
