JACK HAMPTON IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Arlen Jack Hampton, 86, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 26, 2009, at his home. He was born May 12, 1923, in Summit, Arkansas, to Milon Dewey Hampton and Pearl Cooper Hampton. As a young man in Arkansas, he worked in the timber and for the railroad. After moving to Idaho Falls, he was a truck driver for Clyde Hess Inc. In 1969, he started his own business, Hampton Coal and Furnace Cleaning. He owned and operated that successful business for 40 years. He married Lois Nora Winther in Idaho Falls in 1944, and they later divorced. Jack was a Christian. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by: Daughter, Arlene (Roger) Wright of Idaho Falls; Daughter, Perlene Walters of Idaho Falls; 7 Grandchildren and 10 great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, a sister, and a daughter. Graveside Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, July 2, 2009, at the Ammon Cemetery with Pastor Terry Petty of the Cornerstone Assembly of God Church officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. ---------------------------------------------
