Ardis Custis Haines

Ardis Custis Haines, 95, of Idaho Falls, formerly of Reading, Pennsylvania, passed away January 19, 2020, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center in Idaho Falls.

Ardis was born March 5, 1924, in Craddock Neck, Virginia, to William Thomas Custis and Stella Bull Custis. She grew up and attended schools in eastern Virginia.

On November 27, 1949, she married Daniel Haines in Princess Anne, Maryland. They were blessed with a son, Phillip. Ardis and Daniel made their home in Reading, where Ardis was a loving wife and mother.

She was a member of the Alsace Lutheran Church.  She enjoyed dancing, caring for her grandson, Daniel, and making friends with everyone she met.

Ardis is survived by her loving granddaughter, Elizabeth Ellsworth of Idaho Falls, ID; daughter-in-law, Galina Haines of Reading, PA; and grandson, Daniel Haines of Idaho Falls, ID. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Daniel; son, Phillip; and her brother and sisters.
