Arden Ricks

Virgil Arden Ricks, 62, of Rigby, passed away December 12, 2015, at his home. Arden was born January 15, 1953, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Virgil Arch Ricks and Shanna Lael Bean Henderson. He grew up and attended school in Sugar City and graduated from Sugar-Salem High School. He also attended Weber State College. On October 24, 1975, he married Connie JoAnn Danielson in Idaho Falls. Together they raised their three girls, Kathy, Karen, and Kristy. Arden and Connie made their home in Rigby, Idaho, where Arden worked as an electrician for Arco Electric. He was an avid outdoorsman, craftsman, and family man. Arden is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Connie Ricks of Rigby, ID; daughter, Kathy (Forrest) Puckett of Pocatello, ID; daughter, Karen (Jereme) Winn of Twin Falls, ID; daughter, Kristy (Shane) Davis of Idaho Falls, ID; honorary son, Shane Hohnhorst of Twin Falls, ID; sister, Lael (Pete) Miller of Farwest, UT; sister, Teresa (Jeff) Brewer of Clearfield, UT; sister, Louise (Shane) Ricks of Sugar City, ID; sister, Julie McCowan of Garden City, ID; and six grandchildren, Aaron, Kelly, Kourtney, Korinna, Nick, and Morgan. He was preceded in death by his parents. A gathering will be held from 11-12:30 p.m. Thursday, December 17, 2015, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. Wake and spreading of ashes will be done at a later date.
