ARCHIE KER IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Archie E. Ker, 78, of Idaho Falls, died November 19, 2009, at his home. He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho. He was born March 15, 1931, in Ririe, Idaho to Robert Ker and Myrtle Wheeler Ker. He grew up in Ririe, where he attended schools. He continued his education at the University of Idaho in Moscow. On July 7, 1950, he married Lucille E. Hayes in Ririe. Together they raised four children. He worked as a photographer for Westinghouse. He enjoyed bartending, playing pool, camping, fishing, hunting, dancing, and socializing with friends and family. Survivors include: Son: Donal (Lucie) Ker, St. Anthony, ID Son: Kim (Vickie) Ker, Lone Pine, ID Daughter: RaeLa Nicholson, Lorain, OH Daughter: Mindy (Mike) Tanaka, Shelley, ID Sister: Marlene Freeman, Idaho Falls, ID Brother: Eugene Ker, Dewey, OK Best Friend: Renia Cantu 12 Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great-great Grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Lucille, two brothers, Norton Ker and Billy Ker, and a grandson, Dee Byrd. A Graveside Service in honor of Archie will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 24, 2009, at the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. ---------------------------------------------------- Condolences received online: Emma Henman Sorry to hear of the passing of your father.Our thoughts are with you all.
