Antonio "Tony" Castaneda Hurtado

IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Beloved husband, father, and son, Antonio Castaneda Hurtado, 43, of Idaho Falls, passed on peacefully July 27, 2006, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from injuries sustained in an industrial accident. He was born February 19, 1963, at La Canãda, Michoacan, Mexico, to Onofre Castaneda and Rosario Hurtado. He grew up and attended schools there. At the age of 16, he moved to Idaho Falls. Tony would help anyone in need and will be missed by all. He was a member of the Roman Catholic Church. He enjoyed fishing, loved raising cows, and was a big fan of the LA Lakers basketball team. In 1989, he married Gloria Walker Williams in Idaho Falls. He worked as a Forklift Technician for Basic American Foods for the last 20 years. Survivors include: Wife: Gloria Williams, Idaho Falls Son: Ryan Castaneda, Idaho Falls Parents: Onofre Castaneda and Rosario Hurtado, Mexico Brother: Onofre Castaneda, Idaho Falls Brother: Jose Luis Castaneda, Idaho Falls Sister: Erminda Amberiz, Chicago, IL He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Funeral Services will be held at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, August 1, 2006, at Holy Rosary Roman Catholic Church, 905 South Lee, with Father Joe McDonald officiating. The family will visit with friends Monday from 7-9 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge.
