Anton "Tony" Neff

ANTON JOHANN "TONY" NEFF IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Tony passed away peacefully January 5, 2008 in Idaho Falls. He was born February 1, 1922 in Appenzell, Switzerland to Anton and Maria Neff. He had a zest for life and a wonderful sense of humor. He was a farmer, truck driver, and a rancher. He married Norma Waters on October 29, 1977 in Elko, Nevada. They had no children. He is survived by his wife, Norma Neff, his children, from a previous marriage, Anton W. Neff of Indiana, Jacob Neff of Switzerland, Helen Barefoot of North Carolina, Verena Mauer and Rita Patten of Washington; a brother Jack Neff and a sister Maria Steiner of Washington; 10 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren. His siblings Elizabeth, Alois and Joe preceded him in death. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m. January 11, 2008, at Wood Funeral Home 273 N. I worked with Tony for a few years at the stockyards. My dad also passed last October, Dorsel Webster, he was the foreman at the stockyards for many years until he retired.
