Anne Leymaster

Anne Louise Leymaster passed away Friday, April 13, 2018, at New Beginnings Care Center. Anne, the oldest child of Donald Edwin Leymaster and Elna Valeen Hunter Leymaster, was born May 1, 1946, in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Jane, Craig and Lynne soon joined the family.

She attended Eastside Elementary, Central and O.E. Bell Junior High, and Idaho Falls High School, graduating in 1964. She made many lifelong friends while attending school.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Idaho Falls 3rd Ward for most of her life, singing in the ward choir for many years.

After graduating high school, she went to work at Leymaster Jewelry and continued working there for many years. She was cheerful, hardworking, helpful and independent. While working downtown, she enjoyed visiting the firemen and police officers and became good friends with them.

Anne enjoyed crocheting, singing, telling jokes and walking. She could be seen walking everywhere in town. She especially loved taking pictures. Anne loved her nieces and nephews and enjoyed tending them when they were young, and they loved her.

Shortly after her parents passed away, she went to live with Jared and Karen Fuhriman in 2009. She lived with them until moving into New Beginnings in 2015. Anne’s family would like to thank them for everything they did for Anne to make her life enjoyable. Anne’s family would also like to thank her friends and family, and the medical professionals who cared for her in her last days, for their incredible support and service.

Anne is survived by her sister, Jane (Lynn) Smith, her brother, Craig, her nephews: Matthew, Blake, David and Derek, and her nieces: Amy, Sarah, and Megan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Donald E. Leymaster and Elna H. Leymaster, and her sister Lynne.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 21st, at the LDS Central Stake Center, 2025 Jennie Lee Drive. A viewing will be held from 11:00-11:45 a.m. at the church. The funeral will begin at 12:00 Noon. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery.
