Anne Holtom

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Zelda Anne Call Holtom on June 11, 2024, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, at the age of 79.

Anne was born August 24, 1944, to Elton and Verda Call. As a youth Anne grew up on the family farm near Grant, Idaho, where she loved playing outside with her sisters, especially in the summer where they enjoyed playing in the irrigation ditches and playing around the farm.

Around the age of 9, Anne and the family moved into Idaho Falls where she attended school and later graduated from Idaho Falls High School in 1962. After graduating high school, Anne attended Ricks College. It was near there, at a New Years Eve dance, that Anne met the love of her life, Dave Holtom. After several months of courtship Anne and Dave were married on September 10, 1965 in the Idaho Falls Temple.

Dave and Anne raised six beautiful children, Brooks (Kimbrely), Jodanna (Chris, preceded in death), Marshall (Beverly), Spencer (Emily), Blake (Cheryl) and Rachel (Brian).

In Anne's free time she enjoyed painting, gardening, puzzles and playing games. Her favorite games were dominoes, Rummikub (grandchildren's favorite) and beating her sisters in Rummy. She also loved spending time with her 22 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints played a big role in her life. She served generously with her time, talents, and efforts to support its programs. She especially loved working and spending time in the temple. She was also known to be kind, compassionate, competitive, and loving, especially to those who knew her best.

Anne was preceded in death by her husband Dave, parents Elton and Verda Call, and her brothers Elton Lynn Call and Jay D. Call.
