Anna Mae Sessions, 77, of Ammon, Idaho, passed away Wednesday, December 13, 2017, from the effects of a lingering illness. Anna, who was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, was raised in Lorain, Ohio. She moved to Idaho in 1970. Anna loved to knit and crochet as well as gardening, canning and making candies and chocolates. Anna was a strong, resolute woman. Despite the lack of a formal education, she worked hard as a single mother for more than two decades in the restaurant industry to provide for her family, who wanted for little. Later, in her 50s, she proudly earned a GED. She leaves behind four children, Martin Renzhofer, Patricia Williams, Angelo Sessions and Michelle Sessions; grandchildren, Christopher, Corry and Connor; great grandchild Jesse; brothers, Charles, Anthony and Terry Pafford, Peter Sigal; and sisters Francis Davidson and Nora Bowman. She was preceded in death by her husband Calvin Session, whom she married in 1975. He passed away in 2007. Burial will be held at 10 a.m. Tuesday, December 19, 2017, at Taylor Cemetery in Taylor, Idaho. The family will visit with friends Monday from 6-7:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon. Following the services there will be a luncheon at Christ the King Parish, at 1690 E. 17th Street, Idaho Falls. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that a donation be made in Anna’s name to The American Lung Association at www.lung.org or to The American Lung Association in Idaho at 1412 W. Idaho, Suite 100, Boise, Idaho 83702.
