IDAHO FALLS, IDAHO -- Anna Andersen Peck, 88, formerly of Idaho Falls, passed from this life on May 5, 2010, into the loving arms of her Heavenly Father and Savior. At the time of her passing in Menifee, California at the home of Keith and Darlene Hale, she was surrounded by family that loved her dearly.
She was born November 1, 1921, in Blackfoot, Idaho to Carl Raymond Andersen and Eva (Weech) Williams Andersen. She grew up and attended schools in the area. As a young girl, she worked on her family farm and helped sell the fruit that was grown.
On August 29, 1938, she married Walter H. Peck in Logan, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized on August 29, 1951, in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. They made their home in Idaho Falls where they raised their family. She was a devoted mother and homemaker. In 2000, Anna and Walter moved to Springville, Utah to live with their daughter, Darlene. Walter preceded Anna in death on June 2, 2002. She moved with her daughter to California in 2005.
Anna was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served for many years as a visiting teacher and also was a Primary Teacher, and Secretary for both Primary and Sunday School. She enjoyed singing, reading (especially church books), listening to books on tape, traveling, camping and fishing. She was an avid gardener and raised beautiful flowers, a skill taught to her by her father. Later in life, Anna and Walter became “snowbirds” and spent their winters in Arizona.

Son: Gordon (Mary) Peck, Clinton, UT
Daughter: Darlene (Keith) Hale, Menifee, CA
Sister: Ilene (John) Thompson, Oregon
37 Grandchildren, 89 Great Grandchildren, and 6 Great Great Grandchildren
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; 2 brothers, Griffith and Carl; 3 sisters, Ruth Diguilio, Rosemary Reck and Irene Thompson, twin sister to Ilene; Diane “Marie” Ranquist, who was like a sister; 1 grandson and 1 great grandson.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 12, 2010, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) in Idaho Falls. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 6:30-8:00 p.m. and Wednesday from 1-1:45 p.m., both at the funeral home. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
