ANN MCKELL
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Anna May McKell, 70, of Idaho Falls,
passed away on July 18, 2003, at her home.
She was born on May 20, 1933 in Boise, Idaho to Fred and
Ruth Kunter. She lived in Boise for 21 years and graduated from Boise High
School in 1951.
On January 12, 1957, she married Gary G. McKell. They lived
in Northern and Southern Idaho and in Salt Lake City, Utah while Gary pursued
his education. After living in Sacramento, California for 4 years, the family
moved to Idaho Falls in 1970.
She worked various jobs until her daughters were born then
stayed home being a devoted mother until they were older.
She was a member of Hope Lutheran Church. She worked at
Idaho Falls School District #91 for 20 years until her retirement in 1993.
She was the recipient of several bowling trophies. She was a very loving
wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She had a wonderful sense
of humor. She greatly enjoyed the trips and activities with her family.
She was the “wind beneath her husband’s wings”.
She will be greatly missed by her grandchildren; Katelin
Smith, Kolae Young, Kelsey Young, Bridger Fisher, Gage Fisher, April Weaver,
Scott Davis, Gary Smith, James Smith and her great granddaughter, Bently
Weaver.
She is survived by her husband; a sister, Irene Painter
of Boise; a brother, Glen Kunter of Billings MT; her daughters; Norma (Mike)
Davis, Korby (Jeff) Smith, and Christina (Brent) Smith all of Idaho Falls
and Shauna (Scott) Fisher of Salt Lake City, UT; and her 9 Grandchildren
and 1 Great Grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 brothers
and 1 sister.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, July 21,
2003 at Hope Lutheran Church, 2071 12th Street with Seminarian Matthew Henry
officiating. There will be a viewing on Sunday, July 20th, from 7-8:30 p.m.
at Hope Lutheran Church and for one hour prior to the service at the church
on Monday. Burial will be at a later date in Fielding Memorial Park under
the direction of Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave., Idaho Falls, ID.
