Anna Caroline Jensen - 12/23/2002 Anna Caroline Jensen - 12/23/2002 ANNA CAROLINE JENSEN IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Anna Caroline Andersen Downard Jensen, 96, of Hailey, died December 22, 2002, at the home of her daughter in Idaho Falls. Anna was born January 7, 1906 in Moroni, Utah, a daughter of Joachim Christian and Anna Cecelia Andersen. On June 24, 1926, she married Alma Owen Downard at Panguitch, Utah. Their marriage was solemnized in the Manti LDS Temple on June 30, 1937. Her husband preceded her in death and after spending many lonely years, she was married to Joy L. Jensen. Anna Downard Jensen was a lady of quiet dignity, sincere faith and possessed of wonderful ability to earn and enjoy friendship. She was active, not passive, in her beautiful faith until the very end of her days. She is the beloved mother of eight children, seven of whom are still living. They are: LaRue Massee of Jerome, Myrna (Boyd) Shirts of Idaho Falls, Carolyn (Keith) Stone of Ely, NV, Joe (Georgia) Downard of Farmersville, CA, Owen (Carol) Downard of Hailey, Sherry Downard of Winnemucca, NV, and Byron (Linda) Downard of Bellevue. She is also survived by four stepchildren: Allen (Judy) Jensen of Danville, CA; Glen (Joy) Jensen of Salt Lake City, UT; Dorothy McLaughlin of Phoenix, AZ; and Maida Larsen of Chandler, AZ. Of her direct descendants, she has 23 living grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and a steadily growing number of great, great, grandchildren. Her children all love her tenderly and are relieved to have her free from pain, and joyous that she is now with those who also love her dearly, including her own dear mother, who died when she was 2 weeks old. Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Saturday, December 28, 2002, at the Hailey LDS 2nd Ward. The family will meet with friends for one hour prior to the services at the church.
