AMMON, ID -- Anna Margaret Shugars Ensey, 77, of Ammon, went home to be with the Lord November 26, 2007, at The Gables Assisted Living Center. Her son and daughter-in-law were with her when she passed on. She was under the care of Idaho Home Health & Hospice.
Anna was born February 27, 1930, in Baltimore, Maryland, to George Leo Shugars and Lillian Marie Raumft Shugars. She grew up in Baltimore and graduated from Southern High School.
She was married to Christian Boetker III and had one child. They later divorced. She worked in Baltimore as a secretary until her retirement. She lived all her life in Baltimore until 1998, when she moved to Ammon to be near her son and his family.
She was a member of St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Baltimore. In Idaho she attended Living Faith Fellowship and Calvary Chapel. She served as President of the American Legion Women’s Auxiliary in Severn, Maryland. She enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She had a good sense of humor and loved a good joke. She loved watching NFL football, reading, doing crossword puzzles, dancing, bingo, and going to the ocean.
Survivors include her son, Gary C. Boetker and his wife, Gloria, of Ammon, four grandchildren, Joseph, Jonathan, Daniel, and Micaiah and one great grandchild, Aria. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Edna Frank.
Memorial Services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, December 22, 2007, at Wood East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road.
