Ann L. Bacon Blake, 92, of Ogden, passed away March 11, 2025, at TREEO Senior Living in Ogden, Utah.
Ann was born March 30, 1932, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Lawrence W. Bacon and S. Laveta Storer Bacon. She attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Idaho Falls High School where she was active in choir, dance club, pep club, and singing in a sextet.
She was married on September 21, 1950, to James R. Blake in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. Most of their married life was spent in a home in Lincoln, then later in Ammon.
Ann worked for several years in the special education department of Bonneville Junior High. As a lifelong member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she served in many callings, including the presidency of the Primary, Young Women, Relief Society, as well as serving three temple missions. The last years were spent as an officiator in the Idaho Falls Temple.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters; daughter, Nanette Arave; granddaughter, Kara Arave; and son-in-law, Rocky Arave.
Ann is survived by four children, Linda Blake Spence (Gary) of Ogden, UT, Robert K. Blake (Cindie) of Cedar Hills, UT, Darren J. Blake (Shellie) of Benton, AR, Lisa Blake Dubach (Lance)--world travelers; sister, Elaine Jones (Blaine) of Pocatello, ID; 13 grandchildren, 45 great grandchildren, and 6 great-great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends from 1-1:45 p.m. prior to services. Burial will be in the Lincoln Cemetery.
