Angie Dawn Hartwell, 49, of Rigby, passed away May 20, 2024, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.
Angie was born April 16, 1975, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Forrest Lynn Summers and Sharie Lee Treasure Summers. She grew up and attended schools in Idaho Falls and graduated from Bonneville High School. She also attended Ricks College and College of Southern Idaho where she became an RN. She continued her education at BYU-Idaho where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
On April 2, 2004, she married Bert Joe Hartwell in Idaho Falls. Angie and Joe made their home in Rigby, Idaho, where they raised their family. Angie worked as a nurse for the Prescription Center and Mountain View Infusions.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served as a sister missionary in the Cleveland, Ohio mission. Practical jokes were her specialty. Angie enjoyed softball, sewing, stitching, woodwork, tailgate benches, 4-wheeling, Razors, pickle ball, horseback and dirt bike riding, stained glass work, epoxy, cooking, and working the family trade of plumbing and sprinklers. She especially loved being a mother to Gage, Rylee, and her little dog, Buddy.
Angie is survived by her husband, Joe Hartwell of Rigby, ID; son, Gage Forrest Hartwell of Rigby, ID; daughter, Rylee Jo Hartwell of Rigby, ID; parents, Forrest and Sharie Summers of Idaho Falls, ID; brothers, Brett (Megan) Summers of Ammon, ID, Todd (Chantelle) Summers of Ventura, CA, Casey (Ashley) Summers of Idaho Falls, ID, and Brady (Whitney) Summers of Ririe, ID.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Tom and Bardenia Summers; grandfather, Bill Treasure; and grandmother, Betty Treasure-Coley.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Rigby South Stake Center, 106 North 3800 East, with Bishop Steve Turner of the Garfield 1st Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 6:30-8 p.m. and Friday from 10-10:45 a.m., both visitations at the church. Burial will be in the Ririe-Shelton Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Angie Summers Hartwell's kids' education fund at any Bank of Commerce.
