Andy Thornton - 08/19/2001 Andy Thornton - 08/19/2001 ANDREW E. THORNTON IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Andrew Elvin “Andy” Thornton, 50, of Idaho Falls, died August 15, 2001, at his home. He was born April 20, 1951 at Hill Field in Ogden Utah, to Thomas William Thornton and Charlotte Ida Pickhardt Thornton. He attended school in the Salt Lake City area, West Yellowstone, Montana, and Idaho Falls, Idaho, where he graduated from Skyline High School. He then attended Utah Technical College and Westminister College in Utah. He served as an Airman in the U. S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. He worked as a Licensed Practical Nurse at Primary Children's Hospital. He also worked with premature deliveries at the University of Utah Medical Center. After coming to Idaho Falls he worked at the Deseret Industries and for the Post Register. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He enjoyed reading, hiking, and his dog, “Nickie.” The family wishes to express their appreciation to Andy’s many friends who touched his life. Surviving are:Mother: Charlotte I. Thornton, West Yellowstone, MTSister: Kathy Wood, Inkom, IDSister: Christine [Lonnie] Burnham, Bountiful, UT Graveside Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, August 20, 2001, at the City Cemetery in Evanston, Wyoming.
