Andrew Wayne Schwartzenberger

Andrew Wayne Schwartzenberger, 52, of Rigby, passed away May 1, 2020, at his sister’s home.  He was under the care of Hospice of Eastern Idaho.

Andy was born November 8, 1967, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Paul Francis Schwartzenberger and Rose Stone Schwartzenberger.  He grew up in Idaho Falls and attended Holy Rosary, Claire E. Gale Jr. High, and went on to earn his GED, which was a great accomplishment for him.

Andy made his home in Rigby where he worked for many years as a carpenter for different companies.

He enjoyed fishing, camping, and woodworking. He enjoyed the outdoors above all things. He was well known for being a smart alec and will be missed by all who knew him.

Andy is survived by his siblings, Gary (Dawn) Schwartzenberger of Idaho Falls, Doug (Rhonda) Schwartzenberger of Idaho Falls, Julie Smith of Ririe, ID, Gloria (Rolfe) Huebner of KS, Mark (Diane) Schwartzenberger of Idaho Falls, Eric (Kathleen) Schwartzenberger of Hailey, ID, Carol (Jim) Brogger of TN, Teresa (Duane) Truitt of FL, Joe (Susan) Schwartzenberger of Boise, ID, and Mary (Mark) Antrobus of Jackson, WY; sister-in-law, Kathy Schwartzenberger of Idaho Falls; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Greg P. Schwartzenberger; and grandparents.

No services are being held.

The family suggests donations be made to the Hospice of Eastern Idaho in Andy’s name, 1810 Moran Street, Idaho Falls, ID 83401.
