ANDREW JORGENSEN
IDAHO FALLS, ID - Andrew Lee Jorgensen, 79, of Idaho
Falls, Idaho died November 25, 2004, at his home.
He was born February 16, 1925, in Shelley, Idaho, to
Andrew and Elsie Virginia Malcom Jorgensen. He attended schools in Shelley,
Lincoln and Idaho Falls.
During World War II, he served as a Staff Sergeant U.
S. Army Air Force, as an aircraft mechanic in the Pacific Islands.
He married Zola Jorgensen August 3, 1952, in Moose, Wyoming.
Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple April 11, 1970.
He first worked for U & I Sugar Company, then as a Maintenance Foreman
for Westinghouse Electric Corporation Naval Reactor Facility at the INEL.
He retired from Westinghouse after 32 years.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints, he served in various capacities including a Baptistry Supervisor
in the Idaho Falls Temple. He and his wife served a mission to Ghana,
West Africa.
He coached Little League Baseball, worked in the PTA
and Boy Scouts of America for many years. He was active in the credit
union movement, serving on the Board of Directors for the Atomic Workers
Credit Union (Westmark). He was also a member of the American Legion and
served on the Bonneville Veterans Team and the Flag Education committee.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, sports of all
kinds, and loved spending time with his two grandchildren, Heather Moon
and Andrew John Jorgensen.
The family suggests contributions to The Church of Jesus
Christ of Latter-day Saints Humanitarian Fund or Perpetual Education Fund.

2 Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers,
Malcom and Carlyle Jorgensen.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m., November 29,
2004, at the Idaho Falls LDS 20th Ward, 651 Gladstone, with Bishop Lance
Toone officiating.
The family will visit with friends Sunday, November 28,
froom 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue, and for
one hour prior to services Monday at the church.
Burial will be at the Lincoln Cemetery where Veterans
Rites will be performed by the Bonneville County Veterans Team. Burial
is under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
