Andres Benavidez Cambonga

Andres Benavidez Cambonga, 64, of Ammon, passed away November 25, 2023, at his home. He was under the care of his loving family and One Source Hospice.

Andres was born November 30, 1958, in Bicol, Philippines, to Melquiades Cambonga and Trinidad Benavidez Cambonga. He grew up and attended schools in Catanduanes State College (High School), De La Salle Araneta University College of Agriculture, and graduated from Fatima University with a degree of Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.

On December 23, 1987, he married Elena Magtagnob Cambonga in Manila, Philippines. Andres was a veterinarian in the Phillippines. He and Elena moved to Ammon, Idaho, in May of 2018. He worked for Elevation Lab.

He was a member of the Catholic Church. He enjoyed karaoke, gardening, listening to music, taking photos, shopping, traveling, nature tripping, and sight-seeing.

Andres is survived by his wife, Elena Magtagnob Cambonga of Ammon, ID; daughter, Andelyn (Ruben) Rustria of Manila, Philippines; daughter, Andy Cambonga Butler of Ammon, ID; daughter, Andrea (Gersom) Gamayot of Camrose, Alberta, Canada; daughter, Evan (Jose Reyes) Fronda of Pocatello, ID; son, Melquiades (Nyl) Cambonga of Manila, Philippines; son, Alex (Remalin) Cambonga of Bicol, Philippines; sister, Salve (Julio) Bayaban of Manila, Philippines; sister, Alice (Marlon) Bianzon of Manila, Philippines; brother, Joy (Annie) Cambonga of Manila, Philippines; sister, Aliena Corbe of Manila, Philippines; and 13 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father, Melquiades Cambonga; mother, Trinidad Benavidez Cambonga; brother, Felimon Cambonga; brother, Nestor Cambonga; sister, Coleta Panti; and brother, Geronimo Cambonga.

Services will be announced later.

Burial will be in the Holy Cross Memorial Park Cemetery in Quezon City, Philippines.
