Andrea Louise (Maldonado) Leander

Andrea Louise Leander, 79, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 2, 2022, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.

Andrea was born November 9, 1942, in Hanover, NM, to Maximilio Martinez Maldonado and Dolores Remigio Maldonado.  She grew up and attended Catholic School in Los Angeles, California.  She also attended California State.

Andrea lived in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where she worked as a Social Worker for the Idaho State Government.

She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.  She enjoyed gardening, sewing, and cooking.

Andrea is survived by her son, Christopher D. Salazar of Idaho Falls, ID; son, Rosendo Andres Salazar; son Mathew Gary Leander of Rexburg, ID; 12 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Maximilio and Dolores Maldonado; daughter, Jaqueline Leslie States; sisters, Juana Maldonado and Priscilla Rouse; and grandson, Steven Leander.

Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022, at Idaho Falls Westhill Ward, 2040 Brentwood Drive, with Bishop Robert Neibert officiating.  The family will visit with friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. prior to the services at the church.
