Amy Dawn Taylor

Amy Dawn Ellingford Taylor, 71, of Idaho Falls, passed away January 15, 2026, at Idaho Falls Community Hospital.

Amy was born December 17, 1954, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Samuel Blaine Ellingford and Patsy Carol Windmiller Ellingford. Amy was born the third of five children. As the quintessential middle child, Amy was always there for whoever needed her support, wisdom, and love.

She as born and raised in Idaho Falls, where she met her lifetime love Varcel Dee Taylor. They were married November 8, 1973, at the York Grange. Amy and Varcel had two wonderful children, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren with two more on the way.

Amy is survived by her husband, Varcel Dee Taylor; daughter, Jaime Taylor (Pepper); son, Joshua Taylor (Yolanda); Uncle Jay and Aunt Carole Ellingford; 9 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren; numerous nephews, nieces, and cousins, who will all miss her beautiful smile.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Don and Patsy Ellingford; brothers, Ron, Dan, and Don Ellingford; and her sister, Sandy Rigoulot.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
