Amy Nicole Martin, 42, of Rigby, passed away August 8, 2023, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was under the care of One Source Hospice. Amy was born May 20, 1981, in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Alan Lloyd Hansen and Elizabeth Kay Cairns Hansen. She grew up in Osgood and attended Osgood Elementary, Eagle Rock Junior High and graduated from Skyline High School. She also attended ISU and CSI. On August 28, 2003, she married Alan J. Martin in Idaho Falls, Idaho. Together they had two children, Isaac and Madisyn. They were later divorced. Amy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was altruistic and had a passion for helping others. She loved planning and doing fun things with Isaac and Madisyn. She loved her children more than anything and would want them to know that she is very proud of who they have become. Amy held various healthcare positions over the course of her life. She was a CNA, Phlebotomist, and Endo tech. Most recently, Amy worked as a Behavioral Specialist in the Mental and Behavioral Health field. Amy is survived by her children, Isaac Martin and Madisyn Martin, both of Rigby, ID; parents, Alan and Kay Hansen of Rigby, ID; brother, Jeremy (Sarah) Hansen of Rigby, ID; brother, Aaron (Charity) Hansen of Twin Falls, ID; brother, Mike (Farrah) Hansen of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Jacob Hansen of New Orleans, LA; and ex-husband, Alan J. Martin (Janna). She was preceded in death by her grandparents: Wayne and Alain Hansen, and Jack and Beverly Cairns. A gathering will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 13, 2023, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 S. Ammon Road. A private family burial will be held at a later date.
