Amy Verona Brinton, 94, of Idaho Falls, passed away June 28, 2017, at Life Care Center of Idaho Falls.
Amy was born February 20, 1923, in Coltman, Idaho, to Jacob Stucki and Mary Ann Butikofer Stucki. She grew up and attended schools in Coltman and graduated from Ucon High School.
On May 31, 1946, she married Samuel Howard Brinton Jr. in Idaho Falls. To this union were born two children, Keven and Janet. Amy and Howard made their home in Idaho Falls, where Amy worked at East Idaho Credit Union. Howard passed away on May 5, 2002.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Amy enjoyed needlepoint, crocheting, knitting and was an avid reader.
Amy is survived by daughter, Janet (Ryan) Cook of Shelley, ID; son, Keven (Vickie) Brinton of Springfield, IL; sister, Betty (Jerry) Peterson of Idaho Falls, ID; brother, Roger (Donna) Stucki of Coltman, ID; brother, Conley (Beverly) Stucki of Idaho Falls, ID; 4 grandchildren: Kristy (Nathan) Utkin of WA, Alice (Troy) Hinck of MT, Michael Cook of ID, and Rebekah Brinton of IL.; and 8 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Oscar, Amos, Victor, Ephriam and Ray Stucki, sisters: Rhoda Tyler and Verda Coyne, and her husband.
Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017, at Grant Central Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 9-9:45 a.m prior at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Library of the Blind, The Boy Scouts of America and Talking Book Service.
