Alvino R. Quiroz - 04/13/2002 Alvino R. Quiroz - 04/13/2002 ALVINO R. QUIROZ IDAHO FALLS, ID: Alvino Romero Quiroz, 46, of Iona, died April 12, 2002, at the Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center from pneumonia. He was born March 1, 1956 to Pascual Quiroz and Sotera Romero Quiroz in Los Remedios, Durango, Mexico. In 1966 his family moved to Cosala Sinaloa Mexico, In 1977, he moved to Rexburg for 12 years, then in 1989, to Iona. He married Cindy Stanger May 6, 1978 in Iona, Idaho. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls Temple February 2, 1985. He worked for many years in potato processing, a time for Nielsen Ricks Creamery making cheese and finally for Idaho Travertine. He was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, watching his sons play in all sports, seeing things grow and shopping. Funeral Services will be at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 17, 2002, at the Iona Stake Center, (Iona Road & Ririe Highway), with Bishop Mike Long of the Iona 5th Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 7-8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home and for one hour prior to services on Wednesday at the church.
