ALVIN FRANDSEN Click here to view Alvin's Video Tribute IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Alvin LeRoy Frandsen, 80, of Iona, died September 7, 2009 at the Idaho Falls Health and Rehabilitation Center of causes incident to age. He was born August 27, 1929, in Iona, Idaho, to Delbert LeRoy Frandsen and Blanche Ellen Ball Frandsen. He spent his childhood on the family farm in Iona. At the age of 16, he spent a season in Wyoming, where he worked as a farm hand, he then returned to Iona to work on the family farm. He worked for Del Monte Seed Department for 31 years, retiring in 1986. He met his wife, Frankie Woolsey, while skating at the Labelle Roller Rink. They were married on October 24, 1950. Although they were unable to have children of their own, they were blessed with the arrival of their nephew, Robbie Woolsey, who they raised as their son. After retiring, he and his wife spent time as full time RV’ers and as camp hosts in the Island Park area. Alvin enjoyed camping, fishing and early in life was a member of the Cutter Chariot Racing Association. He is survived by his son, Robbie (Jessie) Woolsey of Idaho Falls; Sister, Eva Henrie of Idaho Falls; Several nieces and nephews, and his best friend, his dog, Buddy. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister and his wife. Graveside services will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, September 12, 2009, at the Iona Cemetery . The family will visit with friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m., Friday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 North Ridge Avenue. ---------------------------------------------------- Condolences received online:
