MARJEAN TAYLOR Click here to view MarJean's Video Tribute IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Althea "MarJean" Taylor, 82, of Ammon, passed away March 27, 2009, at her home from natural causes. She was under the care of Creekside Home Health and Hospice. She was born May 11, 1926, in Idaho Falls, Idaho to William Otis Harris and Lyla Carson Harris. She attended schools in Ashton, where she graduated from Ashton High School. She continued her education at Ricks College in Rexburg, Idaho and Darrell's Beauty College in Salt Lake City, Utah. On May 10, 1947, she married Kay Murdoch Reiman in Ashton. Together they raised three children. He passed away April 5, 1996. On April 29, 1997, she married Winston Grant Taylor in Newport, Oregon. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Utah LDS Temple. Winston passed away September 25, 2007. MarJean was a mother and a homemaker. She worked as a store clerk and butcher in her father’s grocery store in Ashton, and as a beautician in Ashton, Ririe, Idaho Falls, and Ammon. She lived in Ashton, Olympia, Washington, Ammon, and Ucon. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many callings, including chorister and Relief Society President. She was involved with the District 7 American Legion Auxiliary for 60 years. MarJean enjoyed singing, playing the piano, knitting, crocheting, crafting, gardening, and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren. Survivors include: Daughter: Denise Cummings, St. Anthony, ID Son: Lyle Reiman, Springfield, OH Stepson: Richard "Red" Taylor, Rexburg, ID Mother: Lyla Heileson, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Delores McCloud, Washington, UT and Island Park, ID Sister: Gaynol Gough, Idaho Falls, ID Sister: Kay Zundel, Rigby, ID 18 Grandchildren & 19 Great Grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her father, her first husband, Kay Reiman, her second husband, Winston, a daughter, Yvonne Reiman Maughan, and a brother, Gerald Scott Harris. Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 31, 2009, at Wood Funeral Home East Side, 963 South Ammon Road. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 1 to 1:45 p.m. Wood East Side. Burial will be in the Ashton-Pineview Cemetery under the direction of Wood Funeral Home. ---------------------------------------------------- Condolences received online:
