Alta Prophet

Alta Arlene Lark Prophet, 94, of Idaho Falls passed away July 13, 2013 at her home. She was born March 11, 1919 in Emmett, Idaho to Frank Theodore Lark and Luella Charlotte Peterson Lark. She attended Ammon High School. She married Ersal Joseph Prophet December 11, 1940, in Rigby, Idaho. He passed away December 12, 1979. Alta was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Alta enjoyed crocheting, watching birds, and she dearly loved her cats. She is survived by her children; Daughter, Lois (Steven) Olson, of Idaho Falls. ID; Son, Jay (Karen) Prophet of Rigby, ID, 2 Grandchildren, 1 great grandchild She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a sister, Lydia Lark, and two brothers, Jim Lark and Leland Lark. Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2013, in the Ucon Cemetery with Bishop Blair Sautter of the Coltman LDS 1st Ward officiating. The family will visit with friends and family from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Avenue, before proceeding to the cemetery.
