Allysha Castaneda

Allysha Modesta Castaneda, 19, of Idaho Falls, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2011 at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center. Allysha was born March 11, 1992 in Idaho Falls, Idaho, to Moises Castaneda Sr. and Modesta Nanez Castro Castaneda. She attended local schools and graduated from Bonneville High School. She attended the University of Idaho in Moscow. She worked with disabled children at Transistions and at Buddy’s restaurant. Allysha believed in God. She was passionate about music and loved playing her guitar. She enjoyed playing softball and volleyball, long-boarding, camping, fist pumping, making people laugh and being with family and friends. She is survived by her parents, Modesta Castro and Moises Castaneda of Idaho Falls; brothers, Moises Castaneda Jr., Robert Alan Flores Jr.; sisters, Angelica M. Castaneda, Josefina C. Castaneda, Katrina V. Chavez, Jenny Flores, Mandi Swearingen; grandparents, Dela Nanez and Daniel Nanez Sr. She was preceded in death by her grandparents Castaneda Avila; great grandparents, Sanchez; and aunts, uncles and cousins. Funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at Holy Rosary Catholic Church with Father Raul Covarrubias officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. before departing to the church for services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park. The family suggests memorial donations to the Allysha Castaneda Memorial Fund at any Idaho Falls branch of Key Bank.

The family will visit with friends on TUESDAY from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. before departing to the church for services. Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park.
