ALLIE CLARK IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Allie Lamar Hancock Clark, 89, of Sacramento, California, died June 14, 2003, at the Kaiser Hospital in Sacramento. She was born December 10, 1913, at Glenwood Springs, Colorado, the eldest daughter of Ether Thomas Hancock and Elvira Christensen Hancock. She married Delmar Wade Clark August 18, 1934, in St. Anthony, Idaho, and their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. She was a homemaker and mother and owned and operated several restaurants with her husband. Whenever she took over as cook at a restaurant, there would be an immediate and loyal rise in customers. She was a long-time manager of the Rogers Hotel Annex in Idaho Falls. Her trek through life took her to Colorado, Idaho, Arizona, and California. She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Allie was best known for her cooking; in her later years, her cakes clearly had the “WOW” factor. Surviving are: Husband: Delmar Clark, Sacramento, CA Son: Varro [Collette] Clark, Gilbert, AZ Son: Gary Clark, Sacramento, CA Son: Dennis Clark, Sacramento, CA Daughter: Sue Clark, Sacramento, CA several brothers and sisters 12 Grandchildren She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, June 19, 2003, at the Wood Chapel of the Pines, 273 North Ridge Avenue. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to the services at Wood Funeral Home.
