JAY NIELD
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Allen Jay Nield, 71, of Idaho Falls,
died January 8, 2004, at Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center.
He was born October 13, 1932, at Coltman, Idaho, to Edwin
John Nield and Leona Alice Johnson Nield. He grew up and attended schools
in the area, graduating from Idaho Falls High School.
On May 6, 1957, he married Blanche M. McMurtrey in Coltman.
Their marriage was later solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Temple. He
worked as a brick mason.
He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day
Saints. His greatest joy was his family. He also enjoyed the outdoors,
hunting and motorcycles.

Son: Kevin Nield, Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Joni Gallagher, Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Kathy (Doug) Halbrook, Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Becky (Doug) Gardner, Idaho Falls, ID
Son: Scott Nield, Idaho Falls, ID
Daughter: Amy (Mike) Wheeler, Idaho Falls, ID
Brother: Victor Nield, Spokane, WA
Sister: Marge (Jim) Croston, Spokane, WA
Sister: Emily (Jim) Robinson, Spokane, WA
28 Grandchildren and 11 Great Grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, Michael Nield; a brother, Robert Nield,
and a granddaughter, April Wilde.
Funeral Services will be at 11:00 a.m Monday, January
12, 2004, at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge).
The family will visit with friends on Sunday from 7-8:30
p.m. at Wood Funeral Home (273 N. Ridge) and for one hour prior to the
services.
Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery under the direction
of Wood Funeral Home.

Jay was a very good guy, He was a hard working man. He was also my very first landlord. I rented a little rock house he had on Garfield street. I loved that little house. I also went to school with his son Mike, Mike was a good friend of mine. I lost track of then many years ago. But still remember them both.
