Allen "Pappy" Hill - 01/24/2003 Allen "Pappy" Hill - 01/24/2003 ALLEN 'PAPPY' HILL IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Allen Lamar “Pappy” Hill, 68, of Idaho Falls, died January 23, 2003, at his home. He was born July 16, 1934 to Winston Spencer Hill and Florence Allen Hill in Logan, Utah. The family moved to Idaho where he attended schools in Shelley and Idaho Falls. He served with the U. S. Army in Germany from 1964 to 1967, earning a Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal and Expert Rifle Marksman Award. He worked for Simplot Company. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and loved his grandchildren; Joe Ross, Christina Wiece, Bernadette Ross, Casey Ross, Misty Richardson, Tammy Richardson, and Patrick Richardson; with all his heart. Surviving are:Daughter: Susan (Jamey) Brockman, Idaho Falls, IDDaughter: Barbara (Tom) Rutherford, Idaho Falls, IDSon: Joe (Cherelyn) Landon, Idaho Falls,7 Grandchildren, 4 Great Grandchildren.Brother: Jack HillBrother: Jay HillSister: Margaret McKellyHe was preceded in death by two brothers. Funeral Services will be at 2:00 p.m., Monday, January 27, 2003, at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge Ave. The family will visit with friends for one hour prior to services.
