ALLAN DUNN
SWAN VALLEY, ID – Allan Davis Dunn, 70, passed away September 23, 2005, at his home.
Allan was born August 6, 1935, in Twin Falls, Idaho, a son of James Thomas and Elizabeth Clarinda Davis Dunn.
In 1959 he married Sherall Young. They brought two children into this world. They were later divorced. In the late ‘60’s he met and formed a wonderful friendship with Kathryn (Kim) Kearney. After many attempts, and traveling pots and pans, they were united in matrimony in 1998. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict.
In the mid ‘80’s he moved to Swan Valley to fulfill his lifelong dream of owning his own outfitting business, Mountain Stream Outfitters. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed helping others learn the sport.
Allan was an avid sports fan. He loved his Notre Dame football team. In his early days he enjoyed racing cars and skydiving. But more than anything, he especially loved his family, children and grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Kim and his two children, Scott (Debbie) Hansen of Plain City and Denise Cousler of North Ogden. He is also survived by three step-daughters, Vickie, Erin and Kris; grandchildren, Nicole, Carissa, Tyler, Madison, Erica, Parker, Kennedee, Kaycee, Jesse, Mindy, and McKenna; and three brothers, Robert Dunn of Texas, Charles (Homer) Dunn of Bountiful, and Dale Dunn of California. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Marian and June and one brother, Darwin.
Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, September 28, 2005, at 11:00 a.m. at Myers Mortuary Chapel, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden where friends and family may call on Wednesday from 9:45 to 10:45 a.m. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 27, 2005 at 12:00 noon at the American Legion, 157 Stoltenberg Lane, Swan Valley, ID, ph. 208-483-2090.
Burial in Brigham City Cemetery where military honors will be performed.
