ALICE ANGELL URSENBACH
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Alice Angell Wright Ursenbach, 96, peacefully passed away April 12, 2007, in familiar surroundings in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
She was born August 27, 1910, in Auburn, California, the youngest of seven daughters born to George Frederick Wright and Gertrude Young Wright. Alice was grateful for her heritage. All of her great grandparents crossed the plains as pioneers. She is a great granddaughter of Brigham Young and Mary Ann Angell and a long time member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers.
Alice married Grant Ursenbach February 21, 1937, in Huntington Park, California. Their marriage was solemnized October 11, 1937, in the Salt Lake City LDS Temple. They proudly and lovingly raised five daughters. Grant and Alice lived in San Diego, Los Angeles, San Francisco, Auburn, and Fair Oaks, California. Before moving to Idaho Falls in 1994, they lived in Issaquah, Washington. Grant passed away in 2001.
Alice had many exceptional talents. She loved music and had a beautiful alto voice. She was an accomplished pianist and accompanied her husband when he sang on various occasions. She taught organ and piano to many students. She was an excellent seamstress. Always a student, she left the world a better place.
As a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints she faithfully served in numerous callings, including that of temple worker and organist in the Oakland and Seattle Temples. Alice was a marvelous member missionary. She loved people and was always willing to serve. Her great sense of humor and positive outlook will be greatly missed.

Our deepest condolences to our most wonderful family. When Jim and I were sealed in the Oakland Temple Grant and Alice were there to support us with open arms. I loved their spirits of laughter. Now together at last they walk hand in hand through all eternity.
Much Love,

We have already sent a message to Jeanne and Gale and will likely send messages in the future to the rest of the family. We became aware that Aunt Alice was in the hospital when Cindy and Tom were here. Our concern was answered when David sent us notice of her passing.
It seems that a lot of wonderful friends and relatives pass away while we are here and cannot visit with the families or attend the services. Aunt Alice was special since we have known her and loved her for so long. There are now no family members in that generation that are left.
We can visualize the great reunion with Grant who loved her so much and with all the other members of the family who are there. She joins a great multitude of saints who knew her and loved her.
Our deepest condolences and sympathy are with you at this time and always.
We send our love to all.

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. What a wonderful person Alice is. I didn't know her very well but have distant memories of her and Uncle Grant visiting my grandparents Dean and Charlotte when I was there. I remember her sweetness and beautiful smile.
May you have peace in your heart.
Love,

Our thoughts and prayers are with you at the passing of your mother -- the grandest of ladies. What a blessing it was in our lives to know her for the short time she lived in Granite Bay. May the Lord's peace and comfort envelope you all knowing of the wonderful reunion that is hers with your father and her cherished family who have gone on before.

We were saddened to learn that your mother passed away recently. She came to our home in Fair Oaks to give piano lessons to our three daughters, Mary, Anna and Kathryn. They are all in their 40's now so that was many years ago! She was a beautiful woman in every respect and it was always a pleasure to be with her. She embodied the fruit of the Spirit - love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, genttleness and self-control. She was proud of her daughters and husband. All of us send condolences to your family.

I didn't know your mother well. I met her twice and she was very nice to me, but John used to tell me and our children about your mother and father all the time. Now they are in heaven and looking down on us and smiling at all of you, thinking what a great job they have done.

We were sad to hear about the passing of your mother, Alice, but how beautiful that her trials are over and she is at home with loved ones surrounding. Both she and Grant were founding pillars for the branch and ward in Auburn and they did everything. What a lesson and example of service and sacrifice. You should all be so proud of them. May God bless and comfort you at this time.
