ALICE POULTER
IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Alice Louise Bennett Poulter, 72, of Idaho Falls, died February 7, 2004, at her home of a lingering illness.
Alice was born June 21, 1931, in Malad, Idaho, to Joseph Dodds Bennett and Nannie Smith Bennett. She grew up and attended school in Holbrook, Idaho, until 1942, when the family moved to Ogden, Utah, and she attended schools there. Alice graduated from Ogden High School and then from Brigham Young University, where she obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education. Following graduation she taught school in the Ogden City School District.
Alice and Lloyd Thomas Poulter were married December 26, 1956, in the Logan, Utah, LDS Temple. After they married they moved to Idaho Falls, where she has lived ever since and they raised their family. She was a homemaker and devoted mother and grandmother. Alice was part owner of the Kids Klub Daycare and worked with her daughters there from 1989 to 1991. She loved all the children at the daycare and enjoyed teaching and caring for them.
An active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Alice served in the Sunday School, Relief Society, and as Ward Primary President and Counselor. She served for many years in the Young Women's program, as both a ward counselor and as Stake Young Women's Advisor.
Alice loved cooking, sewing, crafts, and loving her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. She had a generous, accepting, and nurturing nature, and was happiest when surrounded by children.

Preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Lloyd, who passed away August 31, 2000.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, February 10, 2004, at the Idaho Falls LDS Templeview Ward, 1450 Mountain View Lane, with Bishop Dennis Reilly officiating.
The family will visit with friends Monday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at Wood Funeral Home, 273 N. Ridge, and on Tuesday for one hour prior to the services at the church.
Burial will be in Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
