Alice Partels Glenn, 88, of Idaho Falls passed away July 31, 2013, surrounded by her family and friends in Idaho Falls, Idaho.
She was born May 27, 1925 in San Francisco, California to Edward Partels and Valentine Tsirenstchikoff who migrated here from Russia during the Russian Revolution.
Alice graduated from Balboa High School and attended San Francisco Community College where she earned her Associate’s Degree.
Alice married Tyree George Glenn on December 19, 1945 in San Francisco and made their home in St. Anthony, Idaho, and later settled in Bonneville County. Their marriage was sealed in the LDS Temple in 1962.
Her career began in St. Anthony as a legal secretary to Ralph Litton, Attorney at Law and later she served as a medical secretary, then administrative assistant at I.N.E.L. upon her retirement, Alice successfully opened and managed her son’s RV Park at Henry’s Lake, Island Park for 13 years.
Alice was a loving wife and mother and very devoted to her family and friends. She was a wonderful care giver and was always concerned about her family. She was blessed with many friends and precious relationships that enriched her life.
Alice’s passion was travelling with her husband and friends around the world. She travelled extensively throughout the United States and Canada, Hawaii, Tahiti, New Zealand, Australia, Fiji, Hong Kong and China.
Alice is survived by her 4 children,
Daughter, Judy Anne Glenn (Dean) Halladay of Chico, California;
Son, Gordon Tyree (Karen) Glenn of Mequite, Nevada;
Daughter, Cheryl Lee (Ed Garcia) Glenn of Boise, Idaho;
Son, Paul David (Marianna) Glenn, Dubois, Wyoming;
Sister, Wilma Sybert of Redding, California;
11 Grandchildren and 28 Great Grandchildren
Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Tyree George Glenn, her granddaughters, JanaDee Halladay Browning and Melissa Glen Phillips.
