IDAHO FALLS, ID -- Alice Carol Bromley, 94, of Idaho Falls, passed away October 14, 2008, at her home of causes incident to age. She was under the care of Creekside Hospice.
She was born October 6, 1914, in Salt Lake City, Utah, to William Unsworth and Annie Carrie Mabel Thorstrom Unsworth. She spent her early years in Jameston, Idaho, and attended school there.
She married Warren Knapp in Logan, Utah. Born to this marriage were three children, Mabel Maureen, Billy Sharon, and Steve Knapp. Carol spent the first years of this marriage enduring winter hardships in Island Park while caring for the children. They were later divorced.
On August 6, 1945, she married Teddy Clinton “DeRoos Benjamin” Bromley in Dillon, Montana. Born to this marriage were two children, Sylvia Gale and Ted J. "Skeeter" Bromley. Carol worked as a maintenance supervisor for a private contractor connected with DOE for many years. Teddy passed away April 27, 1997.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Carol was an avid reader and enjoyed being outdoors working in her flower garden. She had a love for horses, long rides on horseback, and relaxing to country music.

Daughter: Maureen Walker
Daughter: Sharon (Larry) Teton
Son: Steve (Shirleen) Knapp
Daughter: Sylvia (Byron) Stommel
Son: Ted (Carmen) Bromley
Stepdaughter: Pat (Larry) Wetter
Grandson: Troy Bromley, Idaho Falls, who has been her primary care-giver,
and numerous other grand and great and great great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ted, a brother Fred, a sister Maxine, and four grandsons.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, October 18, 2008, at Fielding Memorial Park under the direction of Wood Funeral Home.
