Alberta Jean Skinner, 77, of Idaho Falls, passed away August 9, 2020, at her home. She was under the care of her loving family and Encompass Home Health and Hospice.
Alberta was born May 22, 1943, in Chicago, Illinois, to John Edward Swacina Sr. and Dorothy Jean Calvey Swacina. She grew up and attended schools in Chicago. She also attended Idaho State University where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree.
On September 21, 2001, she married Jack W. Skinner in Idaho Falls. Alberta and Jack made their home in Idaho Falls, Idaho, where Alberta worked as a Financial Manager for Pioneer Equipment.
She was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church in Idaho Falls. Alberta and Jack were snowbirds and traveled to their home in Yuma, Arizona, for the last 12 years. While traveling to and from Yuma, they would stop at various casinos.
Alberta is survived by her loving husband, Jack Skinner of Idaho Falls; daughter, Rhonda (Stephen) Czajkowski of Fleming Island, FL; son, Robert (Karen) Tallo of Fredricksburg, VA; daughter, Sonja Blalock of Chubbuck, ID; daughter, Jana (Tyrone) Smith of Idaho Falls; son, Mark (Rebecca) Skinner of Nampa, ID; son, Morgan (Kimberly) Skinner of Polson, MT; brother, John “Jack” (Angela) Swacina Jr. of Idaho Falls; 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Dorothy Swacina; brother, Donald R. “Donny” Swacina.
Private family services will be held at the Milo Cemetery. These services will be available to view on this website above her obituary.
A public Celebration of Life is planned for May 22, 2021, on her birthday.
