Alberta Berry

Alberta Stiles Berry, 98, of Idaho Falls, passed away on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. She was born on February 26, 1915, in Fort Yates, North Dakota to Eva Stiles and John A. Stiles. After graduating from Fort Yates High School, she attended North Dakota College of Science in Wahpeton, North Dakota. Alberta married Eugene L. Berry in Sisseton, South Dakota on February 21, 1937. They lived in Fort Yates, North Dakota; Phoenix, Arizona; Billings, Montana; Fort Peck, Montana; and moved to Idaho Falls in 1949. Eugene died in November 2002. Alberta was a member of Christ the King church. She enjoyed hiking in the mountains, walking the beach, reading and playing Bridge. Survivors include her sons, John (Patricia) Berry of Kernersville, North Carolina and Steven (Susan) Berry of Idaho Falls, Idaho; 4 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and her brothers, John, Charles and Ralph. Private family services will be held at a later date in Aberdeen South Dakota.
